Geerte Udo holds a master’s degree in Public Administration (Leiden University). In the past, she worked as consultant for KPMG and later on for Twijnstra Gudde Management Consultants, before making a switch to Amsterdam Partners (merger partner) in 2006. Since 2013, Geerte has been the person responsible for marketing strategy at Amsterdam Marketing. With her crystal-clear analytical mindset and keen feel for her environment, Geerte pragmatically develops strategies focused on the profiling and presentation of Amsterdam and the metropolitan region. She is able to translate the needs of various stakeholders (local residents, companies, visitors) into successful product and services concepts. She monitors developments closely, always managing to translate the ever-changing environment into a clear marketing direction and approach. Geerte is responsible for the foundation of the branding and the I amsterdam campaign, which expresses the Amsterdam DNA in a visible way.
Geerte is a strategic thinker who is able to transfer her ideas and vision clearly and concisely. This makes complex issues understandable and feasible for others. She approaches the world from various angles, keeping an eye on the big picture and establishing logical correlations and connections.
