Alpha Sennon

Farmerpreneur, Founder & Executive Director

Alpha Sennon is a Tribagonian farmerpreneur, motivational speaker and a creative youth in agriculture advocate. Alpha is the founder of WHYFARM (We Help You-th Farm) a globally recognized and award-winning nonprofit organization established to creatively promote agriculture among children by increasing their awareness of the world’s food problems and by doing so grow the future feeders of 2050.

In 2015, Alpha, discontented with the lack of growth and support for youths in the agriculture sector started a mission to reposition and rebrand the agriculture industry through his invention AGRIman – the world’s first and only Superhero for food and nutrition security. AGRIman is part of a tangible on the ground engagement campaign that teaches children the importance and how they can contribute towards achieving food and nutrition security. WHYFARM has since been launched in 9 countries worldwide, including 5 countries in Africa.


Alpha is a graduate of the University of the West Indies, St Augustine Campus, Trinidad with first class honors with major Agribusiness and minors Communication-Extension and Entrepreneurship. Currently, pursuing a Master of Philosophy in Agricultural Extension at his alma mater.


The 2018-Andrew-e-Rice-Award as a Young Professional in International Development, by the Society for International Development, Washington Chapter.

He has received a National Youth Award in the Agriculture category by the Ministry of Gender Youth and Child Development in Trinidad and Tobago.

An Honoree award for the inaugural 30 under 30 Caribbean American Emerging Leaders & Changemakers by the Institute of Caribbean Studies.

Alpha is also an alumnus of the 2016 Young Leaders of Americas Initiative lead by Mr.Obama.

Serves as Next Gen Council for the Thought for Food Global Foundation.

Alpha has also been a keynote speaker at various international events including, TEDxAmsterdam ,AGTalk, aTEDtalk style in Rome hosted IFAD and by the UN for the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) meeting 2017.
